Crowcon Flamgard Plus | ATEX Zone 1 & Zone 2

Flamgard Plus, manufactued by Crowcon, is a fixed gas detector which is ATEX certified for gas detection in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.

The Crowcon Flamgard Plus is a flameproof (Ex d) gas detector that uses poison-resistant pellistors to detect explosive levels of hydrocarbons, hydrogen and other flammable gases and vapours, including aviation fuel and leaded petrol vapours.

Crowcon Flamgard Plus has a wide selection of sensors including a number of catalytic beads for a wide selection of flammable gases and vapours as well as electrochemical sensors for toxic gases and oxygen.

The Crowcon Flamgard Plus gas detector is easy to calibrate, maintenance and operation are simple and the long life sensors keep disruption to site to a minimum.

Crowcon Flamgard Plus has an ingress protection to IP65 as a standard.

Bump Testing And Calibration

Crowcon Flamgard Plus

Routine bump testing is recommended for the range of Crowcon fixed gas detectors prior to each use. Bump testing is a brief application of a gas to the sensor to invoke a prescribed reaction, ensuring the gas detector reacts as expected.

Bump testing provides a quick, easy and direct method of verifying gas detectors are performing as required and takes a lot less time than ‘zeroing’ the device.

The bump test is widely accepted as a suitable method of testing gas detection equipment.
