ATEX Induction Base Drum Heater – Faratherm FTH
The Faratherm FTH ATEX induction base drum heater is ideal for drum heating applications within Zone 1 & Zone 2 hazardous area applications for steel and plastic drums up to 205 litre.
The Faratherm FTH uses induction heating technology with an induction heater coil encapsulated within glass reinforced with a heating plate on top. Heat is generated by alternating magnetic fields.
The ATEX induction base drum heater can be used within harsh environments or those that require regular cleaning and has an Ingress Protection rating to IP66 and no moving parts.
The ATEX induction drum heater ensures safe operating conditions are maintained even in the presence of potentially explosive gases and no transformers are required as the Faratherm FTH operates using standard AC supply voltages up to 240V.
The Faratherm base drum heater can be used by itself or can be used alongside the Thermosafe induction drum heater or a hazardous area certified drum heating jacket to improve heat up times and heat containers to higher temperatures.
