Thermocoax Isopad FIDR-SRX ATEX drum heater enclosures are designed to provide medium flow and process temperature to 200 litre steel drums in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.

The FIDR-SRX ATEX drum heater is constructed from heavy gauge sheet steel with a double skin construction housing the electric heating elements which cover the entire inner surface ensuring the drum is heated consistently. These heating elements are insulated to prevent heat loss through the outer wall and the inner walls are also painted with a thermally conductive paint to give maximum heat transfer. The clam shell design and castors allow the drum heater enclosures to be wheeled up to and closed around the drum, eliminated overhead lifting.

Thermocoax Isopad FIDR-SRX drum heater enclosures are ATEX and IECEx approved for use within Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous area applications and are equipped with a -4ºC to +163ºC mechanical thermostat as standard.

Insulated lids are available to prevent heat loss through the top of the enclosure and drum to increase the heater efficiency. The range of Isopad FIBDR base drum heaters can be used alongside the FIDR-SRX ATEX drum heater enclosure to further improve the heater capabilities.
