MEDC DB5 | ATEX SOUNDERS
ZONE 1 & ZONE 2 HAZARDOUS AREAS
MEDC DB5 are a part of the range of light weight, intrinsically safe ATEX sounders that have been designed with a high weatherproof rating to cope with the harsh environmental conditions found offshore and onshore in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries – in ATEX & IECEx Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas. A wide range of hazardous area sounders are available to order from Thorne & Derrick, to suit individual requirements and applications.
The hazardous area speaker can also be used in the mining industry, available in 2 models: 12V and 24V, and can be ordered from Thorne & Derrick with MEDC call points for integration into fire detection systems in the explosive atmosphere industries.
A variety of sounder tones are available for MEDC sounders, with 26 different sound outputs available for the MEDC DB5 – user selectable by internal switches.
The DB5 is constructed from corrosion free ABS which has high tensile strength and is very resistant to physical impacts and chemical corrosion. The Sounder can therefore withstand heavy use and adverse environmental conditions.
Contact Thorne & Derrick for great customer service, competitive quotations and availability from stock for the MEDC range of sounders, including MEDC DB5, for safe use in hazardous areas with Explosive Atmospheres.
