VEGAFLEX 83 TDR Level Sensor

In the food & beverage industry accurate measurement of ingredients is imperative to ensure the produce is made correctly and has the right consistency. In the ice cream making process the main ingredients are sugar, milk, fruit juices, fat and water.

Depending on the kind of ice cream, the ingredients are weighed out accordingly and then added to a stirring vessel to be mixed. Once the product is homogenized at a pressure of around +140 bar and pasteurized at +80°C. The mixture is held in storage for approx 6 hours after being cooled in one minute to 4°C.

In vessels of up to 1.5m high, the VEGAFLEX 83 TDR level sensor is the correct solution. Guided wave radar level measurement is ideal as it is unaffected by pressure or temperature changes.

The VEGAFLEX 83 guided wave radar level sensor works reliably within the small vessel and is still effective even when the foamy ice cream changes consistency, making the level measurement process more difficult.
