The Crowcon Detective Wireless is a gas detection module which can be connected to the Detective+ portable gas detector.
Detective Wireless has the ability to send gas alert signals and other alarms wirelessly between each Detective+ device using a 433MHz signal up to a 100 metres in distance.
Using the RICOCHET mesh network the Detective Net 433 module can automatically select the best line to give the strongest connection between the units. If the signal is not strong enough the wireless connection will find an alternative route vis other RICOCHET enabled devices making the wireless network system robust and efficient.
The Detective Wireless gas detector module can boast the alarm signal between the Detective+ unit even when the signal is weak due to heavy metal work. In a confined space the unit can use up to 20 metres of cable to position the unit in a location that will increase signal.

Crowcon Detective Wireless Bump Testing And Calibration
Routine bump testing is recommended for the range of Crowcon portable gas detectors prior to each use. Bump testing is a brief application of a gas to the sensor to invoke a prescribed reaction, ensuring the gas detector reacts as expected.
Bump testing provides a quick, easy and direct method of verifying gas detectors are performing as required and takes a lot less time than ‘zeroing’ the device.Â
The bump test is widely accepted as a suitable method of testing gas detection equipment.Â
