Crowcon Laser Methane Mini Gas Detector – Zone 2 Hazardous Area Gas Detection
Methane Gas Detector
Hazardous Areas ATEX Zone 2 | Portable Gas Detection
The Crowcon Laser Methane Mini is a portable gas detector which monitors for methane gas from a distance of up to 100m – certified according to ATEX for safe use and gas detection in Zone 2 hazardous areas. Using the Laser Methane Mini enables easy access to hard-to-reach locations such as elevated piping or locked premises whilst keeping the user away from potential leak sources.
The Crowcon Laser Methane Mini gas detector is lightweight and easy to use providing both visual and audible alarms. The Laser Methane Mini is simply pointed towards the suspected leak and laser technology identifies the presence of methane gas.
Crowcon’s Laser Methane Mini portable gas detector has no moving parts and requires little maintenance.
Also available is the Laser Methane Mini-Green which has full data logging capabilities and can be connected to Android devices to be used with Bluetooth and Gasviewer app. Previously only available in a ‘safe-area’ version, Bluetooth is now an available option for the ATEX approved LMm.
Typical applications include:
- Industrial and commercial property surveys
- Emergency call out
- Gas plants and pipeline surveys
- Landfill gas monitoring
- Road surface surveys
- Gas distribution/transmission
Crowcon Laser Methane Mini Portable Gas Detector
- Simple Operation – The Crowcon Laser Methane Mini has a simple point and shoot operation requiring little or no training. The device is compact and lightweight and provides a green/red guide laser light ensuring clear visibility of where you are surveying. Additionally the wide organic electroluminescence display is clear and bright to read the display..
- Reliable – With self-check and automatic calibration on start up the Laser Methane Mini ensure accurate and reliable reading and with no moving parts, little maintenance is required.
- Full Data Logging Capabilities – Data can be recorded and stored for use with the Bluetooth and Gasviewer app and can be connected to android devices. The display and save value as well as location and time on map can be recorded.
Crowcon Laser Methane Gas Detection Mini Bump Testing And Calibration
Routine bump testing is recommended for the range of Crowcon portable gas detectors prior to each use. Bump testing is a brief application of a gas to the sensor to invoke a prescribed reaction, ensuring the gas detector reacts as expected.
Bump testing provides a quick, easy and direct method of verifying gas detectors are performing as required and takes a lot less time than ‘zeroing’ the device.
The bump test is widely accepted as a suitable method of testing gas detection equipment.
Typical applications and industries for the Crowcon Tetra gas detector include industrial & commercial property surveys, emergency call outs, gas plants, landfill gas monitoring and other survey such as road surface and pipeline surveys.
