Measuring & Sensing Level & Pressure With VEGA Sensors
VEGAFLEX 86 Guided Wave Radar Level Measurement
Recovering waste oil in the recycling industry is a process with many process stages.
In the dewatering column the waste oil is separated from water and other elements that when heated to +105°C boil away in the lower part of the column. The heat causes the water to evaporate off. Pipes transport the oil through to the upper part of the dewatering column when the optimum temperature has been reached and any excess water has vaporised – it is essential to be able to accurately control the level in the dewatering column.
VEGA level sensors are used throughout industry to provide reliable, consistent and accurate measurement of level and pressure – contact us to discuss your requirements.

VEGA VEGAFLEX 86 level measurement sensor operates over 75 metre distance and temperature range -196 to 450°C
Guided Wave Radar Level Sensor
VEGAFLEX 86 guided wave radar level sensor is the ideal solution as a non-contact radar level measurement sensor would not be possible so the process is carried out in a bypass tube. Pump action and the heating make the surface oil very agitated and difficult to measure. Deposits in the bypass or overfill will not affect the performance of guided wave radar level sensors so reliable level measurement is guaranteed.
