Thorne & Derrick International, the UK Specialist Distributor for Abtech, a leading manufacturer of hazardous area enclosures and junction boxes, announce the launch of an enhancement to their established range of Fire Resistant Enclosures & Junction Boxes.
The new Abtech BPGF Fire Resistant Enclosures are available in 2 sizes and the junction boxes are pre-assembled with fire rated ceramic terminal blocks – faster installation, site error reductions, ready-to-fit.
The fire rated enclosures are complete with four M20 threaded entries, two stainless steel plugs and two transit plugs providing increased fire survivability for safety critical electronic and electrical circuits including power, lighting and emergency circuits – satisfying fire safety requirements according to PH120 (BS EN 50200 and BS 8434-2)
Fire rated enclosures assembled with 8-way or 12-way ceramic terminals
Insulation integrity (120-minute exposure) in accordance with BS EN 50200 & BS 8434-2 (>9300 C) with exposure to fire with water spray & mechanical shock. Rated voltage 600V rms.
Insulation integrity (180-minute exposure) in accordance with IEC (>7500 C) with exposure to fire with water spray & mechanical shock. Electrical system fully functional before, during and after test.
