Concentrated fruit juice is processed to remove a defined proportion of the natural water content found in the fruit and produces a product that is approximately 3 to 7 times more concentrated and therefore smaller in volume greatly reducing the costs required for transportation of equivalent volumes of concentrate, which can then be returned to its single-strength state by reconstituting with water once it reaches the final processing destination.
Notes : A custom sized IBC heating jacket was designed to fit the hexagonal shape of the container and as the container was formed from cardboard the jacket was designed to be adjustable to compensate for any disfiguration in the cardboard during transport. .

Cabinet mounted ASCO valve islands provide simplified installation and maintenance requirements as part of customised flow control solutions for a range of industries.
Emerson have unveiled a panel mount adaptor plate for the ASCO Numatics 501 Series of pneumatic valve islands, enabling the valve island to be directly mounted to the cabinet.
The ASCO 501 Series valve provides the flow of a 15mm to 20mm valve in a compact 11mm size, addressing customer needs for space savings and simplified construction and assembly.
This enables customers to increase versatility and reduce their component complexity when using installing ASCO valve islands and electronics in restrictive, small spaces, or damp and aggressive environments.
Emerson’s design has the smallest footprint on the market, allowing for assembly possibilities where they would have previously not been possible.
“The ASCO 501 Series panel mount adaptor plate is engineered for “space saving, easy panel construction and assembly.” states Simon Goodacre , Valve Island Product Specialist for ASCO Numatics UK.
“It eliminates the need for complex tubing routing and bulkhead fittings, reduces custom machining and drilling, and simplifies panel layout.”

As with traditional cabinet systems, this ASCO Numatics solution is also highly resistant to corrosion due to cabinets that are constructed from anodised aluminium or AISI 316L stainless steel. This provides high protection and resistance against regular cleaning from harsh chemicals – very common in applications where hygiene is essential.
Designed for easy maintenance, the ASCO valve island systems also include an integrated valve shut off accessory to individually isolate any valve in the circuit, allowing for valve maintenance and replacement without shutting down the entire process.
The mounting plate adaptor allows original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end users to directly connect the 501 Series valve manifold to a panel in the wall or floor of a cabinet. All panel strength, integrity and certifications are maintained.
The panel mount adaptor plate is ideal for applications in the process industries, for example for food and beverage, pharmaceutical and packaging machinery, plus general machine automation.
ASCO valve islands integrate into industry fieldbus protocols and are suitable for use in hazardous and non-hazardous areas – for more information see ATEX solenoid valves.
ASCO Numatics innovative I/O valve manifolds include a high flow rate and a broad range of fieldbus options – an extensive range of solenoid valve sizes including lightweight and compact designs.
