Marechal plugs and sockets are available in a broad range with plugs and sockets constructed from glass-reinforced GRP-type polyester or metal casings with excellent mechanical strength and long life expectancy.

Flexible Assembly

Marechal’s plugs and sockets have flexible assembly options such as 230/400V – 3P+N+E dual-voltage sockets which are meant to indifferently receive both four-phase and three-phase 400V plugs, and single-phase 230V plugs. This compatibility constitutes a real saving for the user when installing these sockets.

Keying is associated with keying positions on the electrical plugs and sockets – this differentiates each plug and socket through machining one of the notches, 24 different types of electrical current, which is determined by the voltage/frequency pair. The frequency/voltage pair assigned to the appliance is easily identified.

Safe & Efficient

A button placed on the top of the socket allows the user to safely disconnect the equipment on full load, up to 250 A, with a single button press guaranteeing a quick and easy operation and saves time during installation operations or machine shutdown.

Marechal DSN range of plugs and sockets have a AC-22/AC-23 breaking capacity which are capable of switching mixed resistive and inductive loads, including moderate overloads (AC-22) and the switching of motor loads or other highly inductive loads (AC-23). The DSN can be used to replace a plug and socket, a switch and a disconnector all in one.

Marechal plugs and sockets are constructed using high quality materials, with silver-nickel contacts, stainless steel hardware and chemical resistant housings which all help withstand corrosion caused by the hydrogen sulphide gases in wastewater environments.

Marechal DSN plugs and sockets are specified throughout the water and waste water treatment industry for low voltage power distribution with current ratings 20A-63A.

Marechal DSN plug and sockets provide unequalled strength over time and and have an impact resistant GRP casing providing IK08 shock resistance and protection against mechanical impacts up to 5 joules – guaranteeing robust, fast and safe operation during maintenance work. Compliant with the IEC EN 60309-1 standard and the European Low Voltage Directive.

DSN range of plugs and sockets are watertight and robust allowing production and processing facilities to be as efficient as possible without risk of unplanned downtime caused by sub-standard specification plugs and sockets.

As these environments can be extremely corrosive due to heavy pollution, cleaning, road debris, smoke and heat generated in the event of a fire, it is critical that installed electrical equipment is compliant with European standards with respect to fire resistance and flame retardancy.

Reliability and conformity of installations

Supply circuits for emergency lighting installed in tunnels must meet the following requirements:

• EN 50362 European Standard, French government Directive No. 2000-63 of 25 August 2000 on safety in tunnels and national road network, NF C 32-070 French standard, Guides CETU defining the fire behaviour of road tunnels. Method of test for resistance to fire of larger unprotected power and control cables for use in emergency circuits

To meet these requirements, Marechal plugs and sockets and boxes have been tested and certified by C.S.T.B France (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment), and IMQ laboratory in Italy.

Suited materials for the users’ safety

Marechal’s plugs and sockets and boxes are corrosion resistant and shockproof (IK09) ensuring maximum electrical safety is achieved. In the event of a fire, Marechal’s plugs and sockets do not produce any halogen gases or smoke and meet all the requirements of aggressive environments (humidity, corrosion, pollution) both in industrial sectors, hazardous areas and road infrastructures.

Optimised maintenance and washing

All electrical boxes and connectors are watertight and withstand the use of high-pressure washing during tunnel maintenance.

Ease of intervention for emergency services
